Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 July 2026

The short version: there are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no cookies. We don't collect names, emails, or any other personal information. The site works with public blockchain data and your wallet address, which you connect yourself.

No accounts, no personal data

You never register, log in, or hand over personal details to use downbad. There is no user database. We don't ask for, store, or sell any personal information, and there is nothing to request a copy of or ask us to delete.

No cookies

The site sets no cookies — no tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, no cookie banner needed. Your browser's local storage is used to remember purely local things like UI preferences, recent searches, and which wallet you last connected. That data stays on your device and you can clear it any time through your browser settings.

Your wallet address

When you connect a wallet, the site uses your public Algorand address to show your holdings, listings, offers, and loans. Your address — like all Algorand activity — is already public, permanent blockchain data; the site reads it, it doesn't create it. Your private keys never touch this site: signing happens entirely inside your own wallet app.

Requests for marketplace data (listings, sales, collection stats) go to our API, which — like effectively every web server — may briefly record standard access logs (IP address, requested URL) for debugging and abuse prevention. These logs are not used to identify or profile anyone.

Anonymous analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see aggregate page-view counts — how many people visited which page. It is cookie-less and does not track individuals: visitors are counted via a temporary anonymous identifier that cannot be linked to you or followed across other sites. We see totals, not people.

Third-party services

Using the site necessarily involves some third parties, each with their own privacy practices:

  • Your wallet (Pera, Defly, Lute, etc.) handles connection and transaction signing.
  • Algorand nodes serve public blockchain data and broadcast the transactions you sign.
  • IPFS gateways serve NFT images and metadata.
  • Vercel hosts the site and processes requests to deliver it, as any web host does.

Remember that everything you do on-chain — trades, listings, loans — is public and permanent by design. That's the blockchain, not us.

Changes

If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above will change with it. Questions? Ask in the downbad Discord. See also the terms of use.
